I just wanted to introduce my little furry babies.....I was cleaning off the laptop...lol I tend to save a ton of stuff on my desktop. Well actually Sasha's desk top because I always seem to use her laptop when I am home. Since Greg takes over the office/craft room where the family computer is. And I was saving pics on a disk and thought I would show you my little ones....here is our newest addition baby Lola.

Okay enough with the pictures...onto some happy news! I got a lovely surprise from my friend Marlene! She left me a sweet message to come over and visit her blog....and to my surprise she left me an award!

I am obsessed with making lists, I carry around a book of paper in my giant purse and have lists for shopping...bills...things to do....stuff to crochet.Yah I'm obsessed.

I am terrified of whales and deep water....if my feet can't touch the bottom I won't swim in it!

I have a pen fetish...lol yes I have a thing for pens. I collect them and get excited when I find a cool one. Yes I am weird :)

Softies For A Good Cause!

The other day while I was googling crochet goodies on the net I found a truly delightful site.....Paisley Jade! I was hooked looking at her fun posts, great pics and AWESOME crochet items (her cupcakes are adorable)! After looking at her site and reading a few posts I decided I must come back and visit so I grabbed one of her buttons for my blog (I love her softies and will have to check out her store).Okay on with today's point. I had heard bits about the earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand and noticed on Paisley Jade's blog post today she shared a link where you can register to send softies for children that have been affected by the quake. Now I know I am far from New Zealand but I would LOVE to help....and if sending one of my crochet critters could bring a smile to someones face I am all in! So I signed up.....please if you crochet...knit or sew this is a great cause! For more info click on the above photo.

Crochet Is My Therapy!

I am really missing Dad. Our daily phone calls, the sound of his laughter...his jokes...him saying "what's for dinner, make me up a plate and I'll sit at the end of the table"! Even though he was 15 hours away....the small everyday things I miss them. But I am happy he is not in pain anymore...and I believe he is looking down from heaven watching over us. And I know he wouldn't want me sitting around crying and depressed all the time. So I have turned to my hooks this week...I find crocheting very therapeutic...it relaxes me and I get in a rhythm and can crochet for hours on end.

So I finished up a few hats for a custom order. And took some photos of some finished work I had done before my trip to Penticton.First is my full size granny square blanket....I made all these squares on the long (20 hour)drive to go visit my Dad. I will always think of him when I see this blanket hanging on the back of my rocking chair in the living room...

And here is my newest humanoid!

Free Doll Pattern

If you checked out my previous post...it has my very first free crochet pattern. Well that got me on a roll and I decided to share this simple and easy pattern! I made it up as I went along so please let me know if you want to try it out and find any errors or have any tips for me.

This is a quick and easy pattern to follow I whipped up one of these little gals in just a few hours. I used satin finish yarn (but really any yarn that is not chunky or worsted weight should work) plus I used 3.25 hook. I hope you like her....

Leg (Make 2)
Ch2
7sc in second ch from hook
2sc in each sc around
Do 25 sc around
Sc,sc,sc,dec (x8)
Do 120sc around
Fo and leave a long tail to attach the leg to the body of your doll later.
Arm (Make 2)
Ch2
6sc in second ch from hook
Do 110 sc around
Fo and leave a long tail to attach the arm to the body of your doll later.
Head & Body
Ch2
7sc in second ch from hook
2sc in each st around, then place on a stitch marker and move up every rd for the rest of the pattern
Sc, 2sc in next stitch around
Sc, sc, 2sc in next stitch around
Sc, sc, sc, 2sc in next stitch around
Then do 3 rounds of sc around
Sc, sc, sc, dec around
Sc around
Sc, sc, sc, sc, sc, dec around

Attach eyes and embroider mouth at this point

Sc to the middle of the back of your ami, then switch to the colour of your choice for the skirt
Do 2 rounds of sc around
Sc, sc, sc, sc, dec around, sc in last st

Sc, sc, sc, dec around, sl st in last st, leave a long tail to sew your doll closed.

Stuff your doll with fiber filling and then hold the doll in front of you and close the bottom of the doll flat across….then sew thru both the front and back this will close the doll and make a nice seam. Attach limbs….add hair and decorate…..maybe add a ruffle to her skirt a scarf or a turtle neck! Please email if you have any questions. Franken Bunny!

Okay so when I opened my email the other day I received the biggest compliment a crafter could ever receive! Someone out there in blogland emailed me because they stumbled across my little old blog and liked my work! They especially loved my scary bunny I posted about wayyyyyy back in March! You can check out the post here. And they were wondering if I could share a pattern for their crochet get togethers....but seeing as I am basically a freestyle crocheter....that is when I am not following a specific pattern, I didn't have a pattern because I tend to just wing it. But how could I possibly do nothing....they took the time to read my blog...then email me.

So I did the only thing I could do....pull out my hooks and yarn and get to work to re-create this little critter and write down the pattern as I go. So here you have it, my very first crochet pattern to share!!!! This is for you Nikki and Matt, once again thank you so much for the sweet comments, and thank you I haven't felt like crocheting lately thanks for inspiring me to pick up my crochet hooks again. It has been very therapeutic....it seems to relax me :)

Franken Bunny

I used sport weight yarn…but really any yarn would be fine it just might slightly change the size of your bunny. I don’t know about you but I am most of the time a lazy crocheter….and when I see a long pattern with a ton of rounds…..especially rounds that are repetitive I lose interest and get bored. To overcome this I will take rounds that are the same….say for a few rounds you are going to just sc around I will add the number of stitches and count as I go until I get to the desired number. So some of you might not like the way I have written the pattern out so please if you have any questions or if I have confused you feel free to email me.

Abbreviations:

Ch ~ Chain
Sc ~ Single Crochet
Sl St ~ Slip Stitch
Invdec ~ Invisible Decrease
Yo ~ Yarn Over
Hdc ~ Half Double Crochet
Dc ~ Double Crochet
Fo ~ Fasten Off

Supplies:

This project is perfect for using up scraps! I didn’t even use a full skein of yarn on the body. You will also need a 4mm crochet hook, needle, stuffing, safety eye, button and your mad crochet skills!

Head & Body

Ch 25
Sc in second ch from hook and remaining chains across.
When you get to the end do 2sc in last stitch.
Now you will be working on the other side of your foundation ch….sc across and then 2sc in the last corner stitch.
Then continue to sc x 350 in the round.
If you are not at a corner….sc a few until you reach the nearest corner and invdec, then sc across to the other corner and invdec in this corner as well.
Sc x 60
Sc over to the nearest corner and invdec, sc to the next corner and invdec.
Sc to the middle of the side you’re working on and switch to the colours you want to use for the skirt (in this case I will be using purple) and sc around (where you attached this new colour, this is now the back of your ami).
Now switch to the second colour of your skirt (in this case white) and sc around, continue in this manner until you have 3 stripes of each colour.
Then fold your ami flat and sc to the end of your ami.
Sl st in the last stitch and fo leaving a really long tail, you will use this to sew your ami closed later.
Now embroider on your mouth, teeth, add eyes a few stitches really let your imagination run wild!
Skirt
Insert your hook into the middle stitch on your ami’s back on top of the first stripe of colour of your skirt, then yo and pull up loop and sl st, then sc around.
Sc, hdc, dc around in each st.
Fo weave in ends.
Eye Patch
Ch 2
6sc in second ch from hook.
2sc in each stitch.
Fo, weave in ends.
Then add safety eye in the middle of the circle and add it to your bunny.
Leg (Make 2)
Ch 7
Sc in second ch from hook and remaining 5 ch’s.
Now you will be working on the other side of your foundation ch, sc x 100 around.
Fo leave a long tail, you will use this to sew it to the body of your ami.
Arm (Make 2)
Ch 2
Sc 7 in second ch from hook.
2sc in each st.
Sc x 14
Sc, invdec (x 7)
Sc around x 35
Fo, leave a long tail, you will use this to sew it to the body of your ami later
Ear (Make 2)
Ch 5
Sc in second ch from hook and remaining 3 ch’s
Ch 1 turn, sc across
Ch 1 turn, 2sc in next st, sc ,sc ,2 sc in next st
Ch 1 turn, sc across (repeat this round 4 more times)
Ch 1 turn, invdec, sc, sc, invdec
Ch 1 turn, sc across
Ch 1 turn, invdec x 2, fo, weave in ends
Now you will attach the yarn colour you used for the body of your bunny (in this case pink )to the bottom of your ear and sc around the entire ear
Fo and leave a long tail, you will use this to sew the ear to your ami
Bolt (Make 2)
Ch 2
6sc in second ch from hook.
2sc in each st
Sc, 2sc in next st (x6)
Sc, sc, invdec (x4) sc, sc
Sc, invdec (x7)
Sc around x 25
Fo, leave a long tail, you will use this to sew the bolt to your ami.

Now stuff the body of your bunny,use a needle and use the long tail you have left and sew straight across the bottom. Sew on legs, arms, and bolts! Voila you now have a Franken Bunny of your very own!

Sad News...

I haven’t been blogging because I have had a lot going on. I was in Penticton for a few weeks. I went to go and visit my Dad….and after a few days of spending time together his health took a turn for the worse and he passed away.

I am trying to think of the fun happy memories….and then out of the blue all of a sudden it feels like a wave of grief comes over me and I burst into tears. And I can’t hold them back or stop it. I try but I can’t help it. It is just so sad knowing I won’t hear his voice again…..

But I do have to admit I am very happy that I got to spend a few days with him before he passed away and will never ever forget those days….and sitting by his side right up until he passed away I am happy I was there for him. I hope he is up in heaven looking down smiling…..and that one day I will see him again.

R.I.P Dad

I just wanted to let my friends know I haven't dissapeared it just might be a while before I post again……

Yes I crocheted tons over the holidays....I was a woman with a hook in her hand and on a mission lol! Plus it is a good stress reliever....and I really needed that right now!

With the hustle and bustle of the upcoming holiday season blogging has been on the back burner….well actually a lot has been going on not just the holidays….but that’s a whole other blog post my friends. But I am happy to say that my tree is up…my shopping list is now very short, all the presents are wrapped and I am doing baking this week! So I am on track. And nearly everyone in my family is getting something crocheted for the holidays! I am baddddddd………I know one of my presents I am getting for Christmas! I got a set of clover hooks (I am super pumped…..I only have a 4 hook and I LOVE it)! I know it is supposed to be a surprise but I couldn’t help but have a look see! I won’t peak anymore…I promise to behave and wait until Christmas morning. I hope I don't wind up on Santa's naughty list now hahahaaaaaa! No really, be honest do you ever peak at your presents if you know where they are hidden?

Well here are some of the latest items I have been working on…..when I have time between filling the orders I got from the craft fair!

What else is going on in my life….well I signed Sasha up for her trip thru Paris!I am happy she is able to go on an educational trip like this but scared…like any other mother would be my baby girl will be in another country for 2 weeks! Thank goodness I have just over a year to prepare for it! She leaves grad year spring of 2012. She is soooooooo excited! 2 full weeks traveling thru Paris! haha I thru my name in and told her teacher if she needs any chaperones I would LOVE to go!

And more yarn talk…I am soooo angry! It is so darn hard to get safety eyes here! I was on an ami making roll and ran out of eyes! I drove all the way to Alberta to do some shopping 2 hours away and I couldn’t even find any there in Michaels! If you are an ami maker….do you find it hard to find eyes in your area?

Well I better run…gotta head to Curves! Yes I still go to the gym. But it seems like since August with everything that’s been happening in my personal life that this is put on the back burner….and I haven’t been eating all that great lately. But I hopped on the scale a couple of days ago…and my weight is the same 68 lbs lost!! So good news is I haven’t gained anything…..but I need to step it up and make sure I at least workout 3 times a week……and get back to cutting the junk food out. To break out of this rutt!

The Little Lights Are Twinkling.....

Yes we put up our tree….and our outside lights on the house!! This is the first year that I get to decorate outside!!!! I was looking in walmart (I love their seasonal department) and I seen the cutest reindeer it was about 5 feet tall….it looked like it was made of wicker but was some type of metal. It has a red nose…a wreath around it’s neck….and the whole thing lights up an bends it’s neck! It is on my wish list….plus I would LOVE to get the smaller one so it would be the pair….mama and baby! Oh I have sooooooo many ideas! I also got more than half my Christmas shopping done and wrapped! I LOVE the holidays!

And I am so happy the craft sale was AWESOME!!!! I nearly sold out!!! I have a few hats left and a cocoon! My table was hopping…..I also got another 10 orders….and handed out my phone number for possible future orders to about 15 people! I had numerous people ask if I have a store or business cards….so I might re-open my etsy shop and see how it goes. So I made a nice sum to get a ton of new yarn and other things! So I am going to fill the orders I got….work on some Christmas gifts and then start stock piling for next year’s sale! It was an awesome experience….and I had sooooo much fun! I really truly was not expecting the response I got! So guess what I am doing on my day off tomorrow…….CROCHETING lol! I am looking forward to a day curled up on my couch with my yarn…crochet hooks…a yummy cup of hot chocolate and a good movie! So what ‘s new in your world…….have you started your holiday shopping or decorating?

lol....I have been crocheting up a storm!!! I am so surprised my fingers are not sore! I am getting ready for the big craft expo tomorrow....I am a little nervous I can not lie. I rented a table! But I will be sure to post pictures and share with you how it goes! I just wish I had more time to make some more cocoons....but I did whip up this owl one yesterday....I love it!

Hello!!! Thanks for stopping by.....yay I woke up this morning and yes it was snowing!!!! Our very first snow fall this season! It makes me want to create Christmas presents and put up the tree! So I got to use my new mittens...and fancy scarf set (pics are posted below) and last week I got a pretty new coat as well!

So I have registered to be in a craft sale next month here in town.....there were three to choose from...so I chose one of the schools seeing as all my items are pretty much geared towards kids. So here are a few items I have been busy making lately!

I'm Not Stuck In The Corner Anymore!!

I use to have all my crafty supplies in a corner in the apartment....but now we have a craft/library room to share!! Here was my crafty area before.....

And here is my new space complete with a built in wrap around desk....and a big closet filled with yarn and scrapbooks!!Here are a few pics sorry it was getting dark so I didn't have the best lighting. Here is the window...I love that it is right above the desk in the middle of the room.One side of the room....which is now Greg's library.

My crafty unorganized side! I can't wait to paint it...and buy cute fabric lined baskets to hold all my supplies!

And aside from moving....and getting settled I have some more happy news to share my Sister is getting married!!!!!!!!!!!!! June 25th to be exact....and has asked me to be her Maid Of Honor!!! I'mmmmmmmmmmm Back!

Wow I have been so busy that an entire month has just flown by!! But we are finally all moved into the new house....and I am LOVING it! But I must admit my crafty time has been suffering...it feels like I haven't played with paper or yarn in ages!!! So I plan on getting some stuff done this week. A BIG THANK YOU to my friends who have placed orders and are patiently waiting....I am going to get my but in gear and finish them up asap!

I will take some pics of the items I made before we moved....some more jellyfish and some baby cocoons! I will take some pictures on the weekend....when I am home and there is some good light.

Ohhhh and I am soooooooo very excited!!! The third bedroom in the new house is a craft/office/Greg's Library room!!!! So I have all my crafty items set up....I will also take some pics of the before because I plan on painting and redoing the floors....and adding some new fixtures all in time. But it would be nice to have before and after pics.

Fresh Off The Hook!!!

Well not really....that was a bit of a fib, here are some creations I have made over the past month! I made these using patterns from the fabulous Ana Paula Rimoli....and her new book - Amigurumi Two!

A few weeks ago I had my niece Chloe for a sleepover...she loves crocheted items.Every time she comes over she leaves with something from my stash whether it be a bunny or some other stuffie. So she asked if I could make her a hat with a pretty flower!Isn't she cute!

I Am So Sorry I Have Been MIA!

It has been so crazy....alot going on in my life right now! To much to explain right now.....but I will be sure to blog about it within the next few days :) I have a ton of pics to share of my latest crochet goodies......here are just a few.....swiffer refills!

They work great....and the best part.I can use my own cleaners...and save $ by taking them off and throwing them in the laundry! Then voila they are all fresh and ready to go again!

Granny Squares Rock!

Okay so I have wanted to make granny squares for a reeeeealy long time! So I grabbed my drawer of small odd ball left over bits of yarn and just started making squares a few days ago. And omg they are addictive!!!! Here is my first granny square blanket.....

Don't you just love the way granny squares look.....I made this blanket small just for snuggling on the couch. It is 30 squares....with 6 rounds in each square. But I now plan to go pick some gorgeous cotton yarn and make a full size throw.I also decided to give it a scalloped edging.

My Nephew had to try it out...lol

Cool As A Cucumber!

Yay I completed my cool cat, complete with a goatee! I whipped up this fella in about 2 days....I am happy with the way he turned out. This pattern was intermediate, but was pretty easy if you know the basic stitches.
This past weekend I had lots of time to crochet in the car, because we drove Mom to the Airport. She is gone to Ontario for an entire month. I hope she has fun...I tried to convince her to take me as her carry on, but no go lol.

Crochet Books

I LOVE finding new crochet books, I don't think there are enough Amigurumi books out there. So I thought it would be fun to share my thoughts on some of the books I own.

This first one is a sock monkey pattern book by Patons. I enjoyed working these patterns and have made 2 full size sock monkeys using this book. The patterns are easy to use. I just don't like when you buy a crochet/knit book and the majority of the patterns in it are knit. I would give this book 3 crochet hooks out of 5 lol!This next book is by Vanna White...and the cute lion on the front is what made me pick this book up. The patterns look easy...but I still haven't made anything out of it.
Super Super Cute Crochet is an amazing book!! I love it! I actually just go it two days ago and the patterns are soooo cute! Really life like, I can't wait to make the panda!
The Happy Hooker book describes crocheting and the different techniques really well.And it is quite a large book...lots of info! Alot of patterns for apparel and accessories like purses and hats.
This is the very first crochet book I ever purchased by Ana Paula Rimoli.And it was the first amigurumi pattern besides a small bear I ever created! And I have to thank Maggi for sharing her gorgeous creations on her delightful blog...because of her wonderful crocheted works of art I ran out and bought this book and got hooked!
And this is her second book that I just picked up this last weekend! I love it....it's packed with really cute patterns...the first on my to do list is a cute tea set complete with cookies for my Niece!

Creepy Cute Crochet! This is cute great pictures for getting ideas on how to make creepy cute amis. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! I adore this book. This is the book that has the pattern for the monkey I made in the previous post. The patterns are fun....and easy to follow! Right now this is my favourite ami book!
Cute book...I like a couple of the patterns.And have made the hamster and the cat....I just wish there was more.
This is an interesting book. I have made the zombie robot from this book. The patterns are unusual, cute and very easy to follow.

Creations Fresh Off My Hook!

I hope you all are having a fabulous day!! So I just had to share pics of my new tote.... sorry about the lighting it was pretty gloomy out so it is not the best picture but it gives you an idea of what it looks like. Here it is........ And the inside...no stains or rips. I LOVE it, what a great find!

And I made a couple new mini monsters....
And here is my last project I finished up. This little girl was my first intermediate project I have ever made.I have to admit I didn't find the pattern to difficult, but I stopped a few times and made some projects in between because it was such a long pattern.Well here she is...

I also learned some new tips from this pattern...like how to make knees! And toes....

I've Moved Onto Dog Wear!!!!

I know....two posts in one day...what's going on??? Well I have been creating so much lately that I have allot of photos to share with you! First of all I have to say I am so happy I finished my first ever dog coat!!! And it turned out perfect! I used really thick and chunky yarn and it is sooooo warm! Here is Lily modeling it for us.....

And I made my Nephew a Mohawk hat...he was pretty excited and thought it was cool.

And last weekend was my Nephews Birthday Party so we got a little picture happy and were snapping pictures like crazy .Here is one of my favourite ones....we all squeezed together and I snapped this one.

I Hit The Jackpot!

This weekend I went garage saling and oh my goodness I found a ton of deals! The first sale I went to I was looking through the books and found a huge stack of vintage crochet pattern books....my heart fluttered as I loaded up hubby's arms oooohing and ahhhing over all the awesome patterns! Then I walked a little further and notice a whole jar of safety eyes for just $0.50!!!! And then I freaked when I seen two huge plastic containers and a sign that said 2 balls for $1!!!! Oh my this yarn is so pretty...nice and think and in rich colours all wrapped nice brand new!!! So the lady gave me a bag and I went nuts, lol it was like Christmas!!The yarn is from a company I have never heard of before...Mary Maxim, I love it! Here are a few pictures to show you some of the goodies I got. Oh and I picked up a knifty knitter for under $1!!

And I played a little with paper this past weekend...it has been such a loooong time since I scrapbooked. I made this framed layout for my Grandpa.It is a picture of my Grandmother. My Mom is going back to Ontario for a vacation next weekend so I decided to make a present for him, Mom will take it in her luggage for me. I just love this picture of her ♥
Oh and I found a vintage little hard cased tote...in mint condition with red velvet lining and a little mirror inside!!! I squealed with delight when I found it....it's perfect for my summer vacation in August!!! I will share pictures later. Happy Monday Everyone!

I know this because when I get obsessed with something I think about it all the time...like crocheting I look at things and think how I can break it down into a pattern! I now have 3 rolling plastic organizing thingys filled with yarn two drawers of pattern books...a wish list of pattern books and a huge assortment of hooks! Is anyone else like this????Well during my travels to GP a few weeks ago I just had to pick up a Clover crochet hook...and omg I LOVE it! I noticed when I crochet using a small hook my hand would cramp after a few hours of hooking along....well not anymore with this baby! I just wish they came in cool colours and designs...imagine this hook all hot pink with a cute skull and maybe some witty saying on it!! I only bought one on my last trip to test it first to see what it was like...seeing as they are quite pricey about $9 a hook! Well I love it...so I think when we drive Mom to the airport next weekend to GP they have a Michaels so I will pick up a few more hooks in the sizes that I use most often. Now I just need to make a pretty crochet hook case...mmm has anyone got a pretty pattern to share for one?I looked and couldn't find a case I like for sale....it seems like most of the stuff was for knitting.

And I stumbled across a FABULOUS new show...I was searching my on demand (a new obsession lol) and I came across this witty and well written shown...it's call "United States of Tara" omg it is soooo good.And I think Toni does an amazing job! If you haven't watched it yet you should! And I love love love the opening credits....it would be soooooo cool to have my blog done over with graphics like in the opening credits!! Just look how cool it is!

And I had my weigh in this week for June.....I have now lost 66lbs.....doing the happy dance!!!!

The Sun Is Shining...Life Is Good!

I am really loving the nice weather we are finally getting!oh my, the sun is shining it makes me want to go camping! Well I have been crocheting like crazy... here are my latest yarn creations.

I made this little bunny for a co-workers Daughter! And I was so touched the little girl drew me a thank you card with the bunny on the front of it! She loooooooves her new bunny so much she took it for show and tell! I thought that was pretty cute!I think I want to contact the hospital here and ask if they accept items like baby hats or booties...okay on with the creations!! Here is the bunny...

So who else is counting the days until we get to see our beloved Bill again...and his heart stopping husky voice?? I have been watching some of season 2 again...I am so stoked we got video on demand and HBO is on it so I get to watch TB whenever I want!!! Well have a great day :)

Waiting Sucks!

I am really excited for season 3 of TrueBlood to start up again in June! I LOOOOOOOOOOVE this show....especially Bill....can you say yummmy! I watched some of season 1 again this past weekend..I never get sick of it! It will be interesting to see how they are going to write the werewolves into this season! I just can't wait to see some more of Bill!! And since this past weekend was a long weekend I cleaned out all my crafty storage area...gathered all my pattern books sorted my yarn and was on a roll creating stuff! Here is what I finished up!A new dollie....
A new creepy monster...A hat and scarf set for my friends Daughter....Another baby hat....And finally some mini cake party favors...
I think I will try making some dog coats...and see how that goes! If you are a crocheter what types of hooks do you like using...I seen some with a bigger handle from Clover and now Lionbrand has some plastic ones...just a little curious on how they feel? I might have to check them out on my next road trip to Michael's!Have a great week everyone!

I Have A Problem.....

lol when I can not crochet....I end up looking at crochet stuff online! Yes I am addicted....I love looking up hooks...yarns ....patterns....storage ideas and during my searching yesterday I stumbled upon some of the cutest totes from Cafe Press!!! I could not help it, I had to blog about them just look how cute they are....and I sooooo want that travel mug, and dirty pirate hooker tote!

Are you addicted to a craft as well...maybe scrapping...knitting ...what's your addiction? It's a blah rainy day here....but one day closer to Friday and a long weekend!!!! Which means more crocheting....YAY!!!!!! I just got another two orders for bunnies this week, so I will be busy. Have a great day!

8 Months Later.....

And I can proudly say I am 60 pounds lighter!!!! I feel AMAZING!!!! I have lost a whopping 60 pounds since I started Curves last fall. I am getting closer to my goal!! And I can honestly say I can't remember the last time I felt this good. I had my last weigh in last week! I am going to keep pushing until I reach my goal....hmmmm I think I should get together a blog candy for when I reach my goal because for me this is life changing and why not make it a little party with a prize!

So I have been filling orders as fast as they are coming in...I am only behind on 3 orders now. I love it that people are actually ordering my stuff :) Here are some of my latest creations I made this weekend....some new born baby hats... And my first pair of slippers!

When I think of becoming a Grandma one day (I hope to become a Grandmother...but not for many many many...many years)! lol maybe in say 10 or so years!But when the day does come...I can not imagine all the stuff that will be crocheted for the little angels. So when my co-worker asked me to make two stuffies for her grand kids I jumped at the chance! I made her Granddaughter this bunny...And her Grandson this monster...Sasha really liked him so I think I will make her one now.
I am trying to make stuff for our community market I want to enter a table and try to sell some of my stuff.lol but it seems when I get the orders down from family and friends I get some new ones so I am building my stash...just slowly :) I love it that people are actually wanting to place orders for my uglies.....getting paid for what I love doing as a hobby is amazing! Well happy Monday all...have a great day :)

I Love Road Trips!

I had a blast going on my mini road trip this weekend! Greg took me to see A Nightmare On Elm Street! It was really good. Of course I was scared and jumped a dozen times!

I also had a chance to go shopping for craft supplies!And I found some gorgeous yarn....and some safety eyes which I desperately needed! Actually if you are a crocheter and addicted to making amis you will probably agree that you can never have to many eyes! And this time they actually had a couple packs of cool colours! I got some yellow, pink, and blue ones! I also crocheted up a storm on the way there and the way back as well! Here is what I made......I was really happy with the way this bunny turned out....so I decided to make her some clothes and shoes.

I also made a gigantic ugly bunny.

I would love to share some of my patterns. But I have a question for those of you that crochet as well.....when you crochet not following a pattern especially making amigurumis do you find it difficult to stop as you are creating to write down the pattern? I guess I could give it a try.....I just find that once I get going....I don't stop and it is almost like I am in a trance lol I just keep going. So this might be difficult....but I have gotten so many wonderful free patterns online that I would also like to share some patterns with my friends. One...Two...Freddy's Coming For You!!!

I remember when I was younger after I watched the original A Nightmare On Elm Street movie, I was terrified of Freddy! Well I am going to see the new Nightmare On Elm Street movie on Saturday!

Doesn't it look scary??? I can't wait to see it! Greg and I are going on a road trip out of town because our small theatre isn't getting this movie....and of course every road trip should include some shopping for crafty supplies! So I am going to stop at the really cool store called Crafty Folks! This little gem is such a great find! I have never heard of them before until my friend Serena told me about it! It is HUGE and carries aisles and aisles of scrap supplies and yarn.....and the last time I went they actually had some safety eyes....not the cool colours just brown but it's better than nothing and they are really cheap! I also have my fingers crossed that when I stop by the book store they will have some cool Amigurumi books! Crafty shopping, dinner and a movie, sounds like heaven!Well I hope you all have a great weekend!

That Carmen finally got her parcel for the Wonderland swap!!!! I have to admit I sent it out about 6 days late....but still the mail took foooooooorever!!! I was actually getting a little worried that it got lost! But it made it safe and sound!And because I had a big brain fart I forgot to take pictures of everything I sent but Carmen said she would blog about it in a few days if you want to see everything. I did get a picture of the little Alice and White rabbit dolls I made her....

Once again I am sooooo sorry the mail took so long Carmen. But I am really happy you got it :) And thank you Maggi for hosting the swap, I had a blast and had the perfect swap partner!!!!!

Things are a changing!

Well if you have been reading my blog lately...you've noticed that the majority of my posts are about crocheting! I love it!!!! And no I am not giving up my passsion for paper, and modge podge completely! I am a scrapper and that is how I have met so many of my wonderful online friends. I am not going to give up this wonderful hobby! But from now on there will just be more crocheting....so I hope you love yarn...hooks and hearing about amigurumis!

I also noticed that for knitting and crocheting forums I only found a few...the biggies like craftster, ravelry and crochetville but I really want to start a small circle...where we can grow as friends and chat...have holiday swaps and just share in our love of yarn! I LOVE it!!! I have found a new addiction...Mad Men!!Do you like watching TV on DVD? Every once in a while we will rent TV on DVD since it is so cheap. I have found shows that have even ended and are off the air that I love by renting them like Gilmore Girls. So I decided to try Mad Men and rented the first season. Well both Sasha and I are now addicted!!! I love the characters...the story lines, the wardrobes and and all the props like the old fashion type writers.I am telling you this show ROCKS!! We went through season 1 and 2 already and rented season 3 yesterday. So what show are you addicted to right now?

Now I want to share some new additions to our batch of critters.I made Sasha a rockin' sock monkey.

I think it is so cute that Sasha has named every creature I have made....she thinks it is fun coming up with different names for each one. So I would like you to meet Henry.....My first full size sock monkey....he didn't take as long as I thought he would and I am pretty happy with him.

Words can not describe my excitement as I was opening my box full of goodies from the Alice in Wonderland Swap!!!! THANK YOU CARMEN!!! First before I show you all my treasures I have to also thank the wonderful Maggi for hosting the swap...I had a blast getting Carmen's box ready! THANKS MAGGI....go check out her blog she is amazing! Now on with my reveal of all the wonderful items I received from Carmen!!!

Just look at all the stuff I got!!!! MY mouth dropped....I loved everything!!!! I got a gorgeous tissue holder....this picture does not give it justice....and it has a gorgeous Queen of Hearts charm!And if you haven't checked out her blog....you must!!! Just look at these ADORABLE altered duckies she makes!!! I can't help it...my Daughter and I both LOVE Johnny Depp! He could play one of the wackiest rolls ever like the Mad Hatter and we still love him!!! I love all the movies he is in from Crybaby...to the First Nightmare on Elm Street....to Public Enemies, Sleepy Hollow, Alice in Wonderland and many more in between- I never get sick of him!

So as soon as I seen the March collage challenge for NVS with the rich colours and starlet Katy Perry....I decided to make a layout about my favourite actor Johhny....Sasha loves it so much I gave it to her to hang in her room. Here is the collage......

I'm Mad For The Mad Hatter!!!

Well I took the family on a mini road trip today out of town to go and see Alice in Wonderland! I had so much fun.....it was so worth the drive! I love this movie.....I love Johnny Depp he did a awesome job playing the whimsical...loveable...kooky Mad Hatter!!!

I can not wait for it to come out on DVD! And on my road trip I stopped in the book store and I found the crochet pattern book The Happy Hooker...and on sale!!! Very excited I have been looking for this book.

I LOVE Barney from How I Met Your Mother! It is one of my favorite shows.. his character is hilarious! Sasha and I love watching this show every week....and he is also Sasha's favourite character. So I decided a while ago to make a layout about all my favourite TV shows...movies....books... music anything that I love I am going to make a layout about it. I think I will make a layout soon about Grey's. So what are some of your favourite shows?

For this layout I used supplies from Creatively-Green....I LOVE their cardstock....and I decided to keep the layout clean not alot of fussing or embellies.

On a side note, I am a little nervous! Tonight is weigh in at Curves. So we will see how it goes...last weigh in I was at 35lbs lost so far....wish me luck!

Yes brightly coloured soft yarn always brings a smile to my face. I have to admit I can not stop crocheting....so it seems like my blog will now be all about a mixture of scrappy goodness and the wonderful new hobby I fell in love with crocheting! So for this weeks challenge over at Scrapperie the fabulous Freestyle DT had to come up with a layout all about alphas....so here is my layout! I used MM mini alphas to add some crocheting terms, and I did some journaling all the way around my layout in addition to a journaling card.

I have lots to share today but have to hurry because I am going to the Olympic Torch relay!! That's right the Olympic Torch is coming through our little City today, I think that is so cool!So we are having a big ceremony at the MultiPlex this morning! GO CANADA!!!

This is a layout about me learning to accept myself....and just be happy during my weight loss journey! I am down 35lbs....and I still have a way to go! So I really wanted to make a scrapbook on how I feel about it because it really is life changing for me.

Okay now I am going to share with you what has recently come off my hooks!!!

Kickn' it Freestyle!

Woo hoo the Freestyle DT over at Scrapperie posted their first project last Saturday......and WOW you should see the fab layouts the girls made!!! The challenge was to scrap what "Freestyle means to you" the first thing that came to mind when I read the challenge was stepping outside the norm, scrapping outside the box. So that is what I did! I tried a few things I never do and came up with this layout!
One of the techniques I tried was to make a pattern on my base piece of cardstock. I used white acrylic paint and covered a square of bubble wrap and used it like a large stamp to get cool circles on my paper!

I also scrapped a layout with no photo....which was really hard for me I felt a little lost like I was almost doing it wrong! But once I got going adding embellies I got in my groove :)

Lets Get Ready To Rumble!

I had so much fun taking my Nephews to see The Monster Trucks a couple of months ago! They both screamed at the top of their lungs when the announcer at the Monster Trucks yelled "Let's Get Ready To Rumble"! We had such a blast...watching all the trucks get squished like pancakes! Okay I enjoyed watching the boy's faces light up more! Every time the trucks did a jump the boy's squealed in excitement! As soon as I opened my kit from Creatively-Green and seen the label "Do not crush" I knew I had to make this layout! And how perfect was it that I got a large Clay Artz letter C.....perfect to make my funky title....... CRUSH!

My First Crocheted Blankie!

I am really excited to share with you my very first crocheted blanket! This was such an easy pattern,once I finished two rows it was a breeze, no pattern to carry around I LOVED IT! I am going to start working on a bigger one for Sasha's bed. I made this one really small because our dog is just a tiny thing.She really loves it and I think it turned out pretty good for being my first big project!

Getting Scrappy With Kaleidoscope Kreator 3

Thrift Store Finds...

I am sooo excited about my thrift store finds that it has inspired me to make a second post today! I wanted to show you the fabulous old crocheting magazines I found at the thrift store here in town! Crocheting truly is a new addiction for me. It all started when I was visiting my good friend Maggi's blog and seen all of her wonderful crocheted creations! First I searched the web and through tutorials and YouTube videos I learned how to crochet and now I am HOOKED! I can not stop looking up patterns and every time I go out shopping now I am looking for yarn or hooks and especially patterns. I hope to find a nice set of bamboo hooks I heard they are great to work with. Okay so here are the retro magazines I picked up!And here is a sneak peek of what I am currently working on. I really love bright coloured cotton yarns.

hmmmm I think next year my whole family will get something scrapbooked and crocheted for Christmas!

Oh A Sledding We Will Go!

Well I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's! I had so much fun...I had the family over. I enjoyed some quality time together ate goodies a few too many...I don't think the scale will like me for this months weigh in!Oh well it is only once a year :) Santa was really good to me I got a bunch of scrapbooking goodies...some yarn a fabulous new purse...some bath stuff candles and a lime green i-pod Nano! I really wanted a new i-pod for when I go walking.So I had a few days off for new year's and I had my Nephew Rylin over last night so we decided to go sledding today...and omg it was sooooo cold! But we braved the harsh weather and went anyways after we made a stop for hot chocolate for the kids.Here are a few photos of our adventure today.....Rylin with hi rosy red cheeks.
Yes I am so cold...some of my hair turned white...and frosted!

La La La La !!! I am sooooo excited! Only a couple more sleeps and it will be Christmas Eve!!! All my presents are wrapped....I have all my treats and some Baileys (my favourite drink) all ready! I love love love having the family over all the excitement and laughs it is such a magical time of year! All I have left to do is run to the grocery store for a couple last minute things! I love Christmas morning when the house is in shambles with wrapping paper and boxes...picking at last nights yummy leftovers your tired and the tree is blinking as the yummy smell of turkey begins to fill the house throughout the day....I CAN'T WAIT!

Well on to some scrappy gifts I made one for my Mom and one for my Sister. They are a altered tin with a matching mini book of my Grandmother who passed away in January.

I am sooooooooo excited!!! I LOVE Christmas! I actually think I love watching my family's reaction when they open their presents more then opening my own gifts! LOL I got you....of course I love giving and receiving gifts I can not lie! But I don't do surprises well....I have already peeked. I know I am bad...but I can't help myself!Now I have some creations to share that I made this weekend! For my good friend Serena I made this wall hanging for her Daughter Ashley! I had no idea what to get her she is such a cutie :)And here are the goodies boxes I made for the Eco Friendly Holiday Countdown going on over at the Creatively-Green blog! Blast From The Past, And A Thank You!

If you are like me, then you had some pretty wild hair in your teenage years! I remember teasing and tons of hairspray! The higher we could tease our bangs the better! It makes me laugh to look back and see some of my photos from that time! And the fashion....well that's a whole other post!I was sorting through my photos on the weekend and I came across a couple of old proofs and photo booth photos. And I thought it would be fun to make a layout about my wild hair! I made a cute journaling card stand out by stapling strips of scrap ribbon all along the edge!

And now I have to send out a BIG THANK YOU to my friend Carrie! She was the winner of my blog candy in the summer! Carrie sent me a surprise Christmas card and a set of stamps! Just look at all the stitching on the card, it is adorable! And the stamps are so stinking cute!

My Lobster!

Do you watch Friends? I still love watching that show even though they are all repeats. My Hubby and I both enjoy watching it. And one of my favourite episodes was when Phoebe was telling Rachel that Ross was her Lobster....well Greg is My Lobster! My better half, my soul mate and my best friend! And as soon as I seen this picture of us I knew I had to make a layout! This was taken a couple of weeks ago, when we were getting ready to leave for our staff Christmas party. So I decided to use supplies from my first kit from Creatively-Green! All I have to say is WOW!!! My kit was packed with fun papers...yummy flowers a ton of buttons and stunning vintage items! It took me an entire evening to sort through everything! Here is my very first Creatively-Green DT Creation!Just look at the flower...I love them they are adorable!

First I cut strips to give this layout of my sweet Daughter a different kind of design! Not my usual style, but I think it turned out nice! This is a picture of Sasha on our trip back to Ontario a few years back!We had such a blast!

This weekend I am going to be busy..busy...busy! Tonight after work I have to go the gym, I have been bad this week I only went once! I try to go a minimum of three times a week. And even though this month has been CRAZY with being in Vancouver....and Greg's scare I still lost 9 pounds! I was so happy! So I treated myself and went and got a cute new haircut! A inverted bob...with bangs! Usually I am nervous going for a haircut because they never do what I want, and that's probably my fault because I am never really sure when I go in what style I want! But I LOVE IT! So tonight after I finish getting washed up after my workout I am going with my Daughter and Sister to see ....I am really excited! Yes I am a Twilight fan and have read all the books....I really like Edward! Then tomorrow I have to go visit Mom to help set up her new Digital PVR. And tomorrow night is our Staff Christmas party at the bowling alley...it should be fun! Have a great weekend everyone!

A Girl Can Never Have To Many Buttons!

I have had some friends ask how I store my buttons and oddball chipboard alphas.So I thought why not make a post about it! If you know me.....you know I am addicted to buttons....no matter what I can never have enough! I guess you could say it is my weakness! So I was really excited when a while ago my Mother gave me this really pretty fruit dish! I knew as soon as she gave it to me what I would use it for! Lucky she knows about my addiction and did not mind that I never did use it for fruit!It is perfect...and I always seem to have room for more buttons now!And I don't know if you're like me but I was drowning in chipboard! I had so many open packages....and odd ball chipboard alphas that I would get so frustrated looking through my chipboard bucket. So I picked up this little organizer at Canadian Tire for tool bits....voila the perfect chipboard alpha organizer for just $20! I use the bottom drawers for over sized alphas and numbers. They had one with even bigger drawers....I am thinking of upgrading later.

I Am Addicted To Mini Books!

I really can't help myself! I love making them.....I can make one and a few layouts in one sitting! And I really love the minis that Jennifer and Kimberly put in the kit every month over at Crazy Daisy Kit Co!!! They are so cute like this little accordian album from Bazzill Basics! I decided to make a mini book about my family! lol my cheeky Niece Chloe!

And I think my next mini book might be a AAM Book. I have always wanted to complete one of these. I think it would be great for my Daughter to look back and learn a bit more about me. So this is on my must create list! What is your crafty list like....is there a project you've been wanting to start?

A New Obsession!

I have picked up knitting! I am working on my very first project....a blanket for our precious dog lily! I will make sure to post pictures soon. I thought it would be good practice! I really really want to learn to crochet though! My fab friend Maggi made the cutest amigurumi bird mobile....you have to check it out....it is simply AMAZING just click here!!! She also shared which book she used to make this wonderful creation!! It is Amagurumi Two by Ana Paula Rimoli. Sending Out A Big Thank You!

To all my online friends, for all your wonderful well wishes! It really means alot! Greg is feeling much better....we have gotten caught up on our sleep and he is home from work resting! He has an appointment for this Friday at noon with our family doctor. Then we need to find the nearest pacemaker clinic. He has to get it checked every two months. It still feels like it was a nightmare....it didn't feel real! This time last week I was in Vancouver.....worried sick and feeling very down! I am just so happy he is okay and on the road to recovery! Once again thank you to everyone for all your well wishes and prayers.....you guys are the best!

Well I got my fab kit from Crazy Daisy while I was away so I dipped into it and made a layout! I don't know if you are like me but there are always little quotes like always wear clean underwear.....or treat others as you would want to be treated.These sayings have stuck with me for years....I never forget them! And I have even quoted some to my Daughter! So I thought it would be fun to make a layout to list just a few.And the November Kit from Crazy Daisy Kit Co had the perfect supplies to make this layout! Did I mention the November Kit ROCKS!!! As usual I can not say enough....Kimberly and Jennifer put together the BEST KITS! I love love love the rubon from Maya Road in this months kit, I used the name badge rubon as a diecut by applying it to white cardstock first then I cut it out.

I can not wait until the weekend to use up the rest of the kit! I plan on scrapbooking Friday night with Sasha......I am really itching to play with paper!And I have to ask.....do you have any quotes that you use....or have been told and they stick with you?

Counting My Blessings

Well the past few days seem like one long nightmare! It all started Tuesday night.....at about 9:30 dear hubby went to the kitchen to get some water and celery for a snack. He sat down at the computer and I looked over at him and was going to talk to him....his face went blank and he hit the floor.He had fainted! So we took him to the Hospital...after a short while of not getting any answers and having them do numerous tests....they moved him to ICU! I then lost it! The nurse pulled me aside and told me to go home and pack a bag for myself and Greg. That they were going to medi vac us out to St.Paul's Hospital in Vancouver. He had a3rd degree heart block! I was frantic.

So I quickly rushed home and threw two bags together....to be honest I do not even remember doing this. Then they rushed us out to Vancouver....so after an hour and a half in a small emergency plane we arrived and they moved Greg into CCU! Apparently they have the best cardiac wing in the Country. The next day and countless tests....and needles later they operated and gave Greg a pacemaker.They are not sure why this has happened....I am just happy he is okay. I just kept praying...for him to please be okay! Everything can really change in just one second! So I was in Vancouver with my backpack some cash in my wallet and a ton of stress! Thank goodness there was a family friend that lived close by so I slept there at night. We finally got home this evening....just thought I would let you all know it might take me a couple of days to get back in the swing of things.

It's The Best Time Of The Year!

Because I LOVE making scrappy Christmas presents for everyone in my family! I made a wonderful present for my Step Dad....but first I wanted to share a layout I made for a cool color challenge over at Creatively-Green! It is Nicole's Color Challenge! I was only able to use the colors orange white and black....and the twist is it could not be Halloween themed! So I made this layout about my Nephew Rylin! He is such a clown ♥ you may be wondering why his name is spelled backwards on his forehead. Well he thought it was fun to take the whole container of face paint in the bathroom and do his own face paint! And of course being the little clown he is, when he came out he made a huge scene to show us what he had done.......in the middle of the McDonald's play place this all happened at his Sister's 5th Birthday party. I just had to do a layout of this moment!And here is the item I made for Christmas for my Step Dad.

My Nephew is such a Cheeky Monkey! This is a photo of him showing his somewhat rebellious side! I have been saving this picture of Harley for some time....it was actually hanging in my scrap space just waiting for creativity to spark!! Do you ever get like that with pictures.....you can't quite scrap them yet because the papers or embellies just don't seem right paired with the photo??? Well as soon as I opened my October kit from Crazy Daisy Kit Co.....I KNEW!!! That the fabulous supplies in this kit were perfect to make this layout. The bright bold colours and fun patterns were a perfect match!I just love the papers in this kit!
And I am not sure if you remember a few weeks ago my Mother In law surprised us and came down for a visit! I just love this photo I took of my dear hubby and his Mother.

I didn't have chipboard alphas in the same colours so I cracked open my paints and a sponge and decided to make them a pretty yellow to make them pop! I must admit you really have to see this layout in person to appreciate the gorgeous felt paper! Every month I am oooohing and awwwwing as I go through my parcel from Crazy Daisy! Because I know before I even open the box and gasp with excitement at all the glorious supplies inside that I will be in heaven! I know you are thinking I am biased being a designer and all....but really you have to try one of their kits and you will agree! And make sure you hurry because they always sell out fast! So here is a layout of my darling Daughter!

And I just had to point out the fun fabric flower! I made the flower with the swatch of material that came in the kit! I really think it just pops with color!

mu wa haaa haaaa........ I hope you are enjoying the hauntingly magical Halloween celebration!And that you are going to visit all the spook-tacular Halloween parties that are going on!You can find a complete list of the Halloween Partiers on Vanessa's fabulous blog! I am so excited and can not wait until Halloween! I love seeing my Niece and Nephews all excited running from door to door...untill they are tired and their bags are heavey with sweets! I remember Trick Or Treating...and how exciting it was to go home and sort through my candies! I love love loved anything chocolate (that hasn't changed at all!) chips....and my favourite type of candy is Mojo's!!!

I loved sitting on the living room floor and sorting my candies...while watching Halloween shows! My all time favourite Halloween cartoon is The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!

And I LOVE making altered Halloween items!
Here are a few altered Halloween projects I have finished in the past couple of months. I made this cute treat box for my Daughter. There won't be any treats for me this year...I am trying to stay away from chocolate....because Curves is going well! I actually lost weight this month....despite Thanksgiving dinner including a slice of pumpkin pie!

And what Halloween blog post would be complete without some TREATS!!!! So I put together a small RAK of scrappy treats! All you have to do to enter is leave a comment! I want to hear about a costume you wore as a child, or a fond Halloween memory. The deadline to enter is November 12th!

I don't know about you....but I LOVE scary movies! And I have been wanting to see this movie for a long time so we rented it last weekend. And I LOVED IT! It is so twisted! And the little sack guy is adorable. A must see Halloween flick, if you like scary movies!

Every month the Kit from Crazy Daisy Kit Co.....is simply amazing!And the October kit is no exception! Look at these layouts I made from this yummy kit! This layout is about my new addiction....going to Curves! It is one way how I like to spend my Me Time! That is when I am not scrapping!

I just adore the fun felt flowers and pretty metal embellies in this months kit!

And I separated the fun chipboard frames that came in the kit and used the bottom portion as a base for my title!This is a layout of my sweet Nephew...during our camping trip!

I am soooooo excited!! I told you a few weeks back that I had signed up for curves. Well I have been going three times a week, and when I can swing it I go four times!!! Today when I went in for my workout it was my first month weigh in! I was a little scared when I stepped on the scale and the instructor said Oh my goodness NO WAY!!!! I have to admit I was a little terrified! I was thinking to myself....I could not of gained I feel like I have lost and have been watching what I eat!!She was saying that because in my first weigh in I have lost 9 POUNDS and 8.5 inches!!!!! I was so happy! I can't believe it! I am on cloud nine! Just had to share my happy news :)

Altered Holiday Gifts!

I love making my family scrappy gifts for Christmas so I thought I would get started so I don't get behind. This weekend I got so much done! I altered two large tins, completed 6 DT layouts for Crazy Daisy Kit Co, packaged up my items for the JADS Secret Santa Swap and the holiday swap....and even got my atc's done and ready to be mailed!

Today I am going to show you one of my altered tins. But I can only show you this one, I want the other one to be a surprise and my Daughter reads my blog.Sorry Sasha you have to wait...lol!We had this game that we never play...and it was missing a few pieces so I decided to alter the tin it came in!

A Present For A Princess!

Well my little Niece Chloe is celebrating her birthday in just over a week! I got her a Hannah Montanna barbie and surf shop....some princess crayons and a colouring book! Plus I made her this a super cute...super girlie altered lunch box!!!I have to admit I LOVE IT! I am thinking of making some super hero ones for my Nephews for Christmas!

And my sweet friend Nini over at Posh Designs Scrapbook Store gave me this blog award!!! What a nice surprise!And I got my fab blog candy in the mail....and omg it was more than I thought! I will make sure to share photos of what I create with it! Once again thanks Nini you rock!

I love love love the October Kit from Crazy Daisy Kit Co! It is packed with rich vibrant papers...fun embellies, and the perfect mini! It was the perfect size to make a mini book about my trip to Ontario!I used the yummy Prima chipboard alphas and a metal embellishement to make my title for my book! I just love the flowers I made for the cover...watch for a upcoming tutorial about these little beauties!On this page I used some left over chipboard paisleys from the September kit, and filled them with bling!

la la la la! I LOVE Christmas! The colors...smells (cookies baking) wrapping gifts, snow and feelings of excitement I can feel it in the air! I AM A CHRISTMAS NUT! I have started my Christmas shopping and have my list ready so whenever I go out shopping if they have what I am looking for I just pick it up! It helps me get my list done really early!

And with me hosting an altered item challenge at the fabulous JADS it was the perfect time to break out the jolly festive Christmas supplies and get my mojo flowing!The challenge is to upcycle something from your kitchen into a holiday decoration! Now you could do Christmas...Halloween or get a head start for Valentines Day!

Addicted To My White Gel Pen!

I am loving my new white gel pen! I seem to reach for it every time I scrap lately!I have a whole container of gel pens....but I find you really have to splurge when buying a gel pen. Don't buy the cheap packs, because if you buy the cheap ones they write weird and dry out quickly!I love writing on chipboard alphas or doodling or drawing a border along my layout.Okay enough about my new addiction...gel pens actually it's an old addiction rediscovered! Today I want to show you the last of my creations made with the September Kit from Crazy Daisy Kit Co!I love love love their kits! Every kit I get is packed with yummy papers and gorgeous embellies....all the fun products I would pick out for myself!Here is my first layout...this is of my handsome Nephew and I! lol and if you're wondering why he has a pouty face it's because I asked him to hold the Caillou doll....lol he really doesn't like Caillou at all! According to Rylin....it is "not a big boy show"!

Okay you might be wondering why I have so many dolls... I am not sure if you remember a couple of months ago I went to Pioneer Village...well this was a bedroom in one of the old houses. It was filled with gorgeous antique dolls. It was my Daughter's favourite part of the entire day...so I made a layout for her about it.

I can't wait to see the October kit from Crazy Daisy....every time I get my kit it is like Christmas!

That is what my Daughter said to me....at about 2am last night! She woke up to grab a drink of water and there I was at my scrap space! Bits of paper covered my pj's....and all over the floor (I am a really messy scrapper)! I had scrapped for so long that I didn't even notice the time!

She is such a sweet heart worrying about her Mother's lack of sleep....I had nearly been up for 24 hours....and 9 of them were spent crafting!So here is what I created!

I am addicted to Wii...even though my hubby is a hardcore XBox fan!

I scrapped about my second addiction...blogging!

My Dear Hubby...he did not like the girlie colors...lol!

I love Curves!

I did it....I signed up for curves a couple of weeks ago!It was their Anniversary here and they had a special ......no sign up fee so I went to see what it was all about!WELL IT'S AWESOME!! My Daughter and I joined!

I have to tell you I thought I was getting a good work out walking to work and walking at night....well nothing compares to the 30 minute workout I get at Curves!! And the feeling afterwards is amazing! My Daughter and I have been going nearly everyday! I am a little excited and nervous at the same time for my first weigh in since I signed up!We get weighed once a month so I should be getting weighed about October 15th!

I just had to share this and spread the word....if you want to get an awesome Curves rocks!

lol I used to love saying that as a kid! But this year I have to stay away from the treats! I have been doing so good lately...I have been walking to work for three months and really watching what foods I buy and eat.Really checking labels.

Is the Journey!!I love love love camping! And I knew as soon as I opened my September Kit from Crazy Daisy Kit Co that this was the perfect mini book to make to record all my precious memories from my last camping trip!

Just look at how cute this book is....I love that it had a window!

This mini even came with gorgeous clear overlays!

I really loved working with this months kit!This mini was the perfect size!

ATC Challenge!

My family is big on recycling and being "GREEN" so I have a large stash of packaging and items to be altered....I am going to need a storage system for it soon! Before my family throws anything in the trash or recycle bin they ask me "Mom do you want this for your scrapping?" And quite often my answer is yes!

Now first of all I have to say I did not come up with the idea for clear ATC'S...my good Friend from JADS Marlene had a challenge to make clear ATC'S a few months ago! And I had so much fun I thought I would make some more! THANKS FOR THE FAB IDEA MARLENE!

I made both of these from packaging from my scrapbooking supplies.The first clear one was made from clear packaging, and the second one is made from cardboard from a pack of stickers from Making Memories.

The September Kit from Crazy Daisy Kit Co! I don't know how Kimberly and Jennifer do it but they pick out the best papers and embellishments... THEY'RE KITS ARE AMAZING!

This kit was bursting with yummy products from 7 Gypsy, Pink Paislee, BG and more! It is filled with rich colors and the cutest tags ever!Here is my first layout I made of Sasha and my Sister.I used the stickles in the kit on the owls wings....isn't he cute!

lol...I know I am a little bit early! But I can't help myself I am now in the Halloween Spirit! There is a chill in the air...and Halloween supplies are slowly making there way into the stores here in town soooo.....I cracked out all my ghoulish Halloween papers and started creating!

I made both wall hangings from old cd's! Want more interesting ideas for holiday decor? Then come join JADS! Because right now I am hosting an Altered Holiday Decor Challenge! My Mom loved my wall hanging so much that she asked me to make her one!

These wall hangings are super easy to make! I covered each CD with my cardstock and waited for my glue to dry. I then used my Crop-A-Dile to punch holes all around the CD.I then decorated each CD and added ribbon to each hole I had punched. Make sure to leave a few holes to attach all your cd's together!I am actually working on some for Christmas!And another project I will show you later.......think BIGGER!!!
